Alternative Energy

"To truly transform our economy, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of climate change, we need to ultimately make clean, renewable energy the profitable kind of energy."
BARACK OBAMA, Address to Joint Session of Congress, Feb. 24, 2009

Q: What is Alternative Energy and why do we need it?

A: Alternative energy is energy derived from sources that do not use up natural resources or harm the environment. We need alternative energy resources because they are more sustainable and are better for our planet.
